50 YEARS OF RELATIONS ITALY - CHINA: 中餐意酒 CHINESE CUISINE + ITALIAN WINES PART OF THE GREAT CULTURAL EXCHANGES BETWEEN THE TWO NATIONS

“Cultural exchange has always been a highlight of the cooperation between China and Italy. Over the past 50 years, bilateral economic and commercial cooperation has brought tangible benefits to citizens, but both cultural cooperation and exchanges have promoted intangible enrichment". This is one of the most important conclusions of the first Blue Book on Italy, entitled "Annual report on the development of Italy (2019/2020): on the 50 years of diplomatic relations between China and Italy", presented in Beijing in recent days. In giving the news, the New China Agency stressed that the authors of the Blue Book come from academic institutions, think tank and universities in the two countries, including the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Beijing University of Foreign Languages, the Italian Eurispes Institute, the Luigi Sturzo Institute and the Sapienza University of Rome. 

"It is precisely the peculiar characteristics of cultural exchange that have favored the promotion of communication between peoples and may become, in the future, a solid basis for intensifying collaboration," wrote the new China. The Zhong Can Yi Jiu Program, Chinese cuisines meet Italian wines that promotes contact between the two gastronomic cultures, among the most important in the world, was also born four years ago in the middle of the cultural exchange between the two nations.
