RIBOLLA GIALLA FRIULI COLLI ORIENTALI DOC

Description

Ribolla Gialla is one of the most important indigenous grapes of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It is a versatile white grape variety, here it is used to produce an elegant wine based on primary aromas of delicate flowers and ripe fruits.

Colour: Lemon colour with gren hints.
Aroma: Delicate notes of white flowers and ripe green fruits, like green apple and green lime.
Taste: High refreshing acidity and a warming sensation on the finish.

Alcohol: 12,5%

Ageing: No ageing.

Winery

Rocca Bernarda has long been a leader in the viticulture of Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. It is one of the first wine estates of the region, dating back to 1559. Considered one of the most important estates in Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, Rocca Bernarda has a unique microclimate with spectacular terraced vineyards protected by the Julian Alps.

Wine pairing notes

The dish is delicate and characterized by the fatty and slippery sensation brought by the runny crab sauce. The spices and scallion aromas are not dominant and tthey are well integrated with tofu and crab.

This Ribolla Gialla is a perfect match because it doesn't overwhelm the delicate aroma of the dish. Otherwise, the wine enhance the aromas of the dish giving a great pleasant aftertaste dominated by the smooth combination of tofu and crab aromas.
